Ameko is a distinguished leader in the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Gas & Power Trading for ENGIE in Asia Pacific.

With over 15 years of trading experience in the energy sector with major players such as RWE, EDF, Gazprom and Trafigura across London & Singapore, Ameko has been instrumental in driving ENGIE's strategic initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.

Ameko is uniquely qualified to trade on today’s global power & gas markets due to her varied experiences that include intraday power scheduling, long term portfolio optimization, trading in sparks/darks, cross country power interconnector, retail customer flow and proprietary value creation.

Ameko's journey with ENGIE began in 2020 as a Power & Gas Trader, where she played a pivotal role in the company's first trade with Tohoku EPCO Energy Trading Co., Inc. on the European Energy Exchange’s (EEX) Japanese Power Futures. This milestone underscores her commitment to enhancing market liquidity and her expertise in navigating complex energy markets.

She holds a Masters of International Management from Loughborough University in England. Ameko is regarded as an expert on the gas & power market and is frequently invited for strategic discussions as well as to present and speak at international conferences.
