Jens Bøgsted Orfelt is an EVP and Regional President for RWE Renewables Offshore, through which he is responsible for RWE’s offshore wind farm development activities within the Asia Pacific region. As a Director of RWE, Jens forms part of the global executive leadership team of RWE Renewables Offshore. Jens is a passionate and results-driven executive with over 17 years of experience. He is engaged in the renewable energy industry, specializing in offshore wind. With a proven track record of successfully leading and growing organizations and large-scale renewable infrastructure projects across Asia Pacific markets, Jens is committed to driving sustainable energy solutions contributing to a greener future. Earlier in his career, Jens served as a lawyer engaged in sourcing and execution of large-scale industry offshore wind-related contracts. He also acted as a lead lawyer on end of warranty close outs. As such, he carries with him experience from all cycles of offshore wind farm-related workstreams ranging from origination and early-stage development, taking projects through FID, sourcing and executing projects during construction, and operating and maintaining projects. Prior to joining the offshore industry, Jens acted for several years as a civil and arbitration lawyer, where he worked primarily on energy and banking-related disputes. Prior hereto, he served as a public prosecutor with the Danish Justice Department. Jens graduated with a Master’s in Law from Copenhagen University in 2007.
