Lars Schaumann is Managing Director for Japan, Vopak. Based in Asia, Mr. Schaumann brings with him over 20 years of experience in the logistics, operations and tank storage business. In his current role, he heads the business development activities for Japan and Korea.

He has held several senior management positions in Vopak, including COO of Vopak’s Joint Venture in India, Country Managing Director for Indonesia and Deputy Managing Director and Board Member of Vopak’s Joint Venture in Thailand.

Prior to Vopak, Mr. Schaumann was with Buss Logistik Terminal GmbH in Hamburg. He started his career at VTG Vereinigte Tanklager und Transportmittel GmbH Hamburg, a leading German tank storage, tank container and rail tank car operator.

Mr. Schaumann holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and International Marketing, WAH Hamburg, Germany.
