Khwanruthai Boonyasana is an academician and researcher in Thailand, specializing in Economics: Energy, Digital, Education, and Finance. Additionally, she serves as an editorial board member of the academic journal and an international conference committee member of FLE Learning, Institute of Research Learning & Development, UK. She is also a podcast speaker for The International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), USA. In 2008, she received a Thai government scholarship from Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) to pursue further studies at Leicester University in the United Kingdom, where she successfully completed her Ph.D. in Economics in 2013. During her studies, she received “the Best Presentation Award” at the Postgraduate Research Festival 2011 and was selected for the OFID/IAEE Support Fund for international conferences held in Canada (2010), Sweden (2011), Australia (2013), and the United States (2015, 2017). Returning to RMUTP in Thailand in 2013, she completed her doctoral thesis on "World Electricity Co-operation," which was referenced by The World Bank in 2014. She was honored with “the National Research Award” from the Thai government in 2015. In the same year, she was recognized as an Outstanding Researcher by RMUTP. In 2019, she won the Excellence in Teaching and Research Integration award from all nine Rajamangala Universities of Technology. In 2022, she received the Knowledge Management (KM) Excellence Award from RMUTP. Furthermore, she attained accolades at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2022 in Switzerland, securing a Gold Medal for "Ajarn Robot," a Bronze Medal for "Djung Laboratory," and awards for "Silver Medal: Ajarn Robot," "Gold Medal: Djung Laboratory," and "Gold Medal: EngJoy 3D App" at the Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo 2022. In 2023, she was honored with the "A Creative Thinker Who Acts Professionally " award by RMUTP. She currently serves as a consultant on "The Subcommittee Follows Up, Recommends, and Expedites National Reform and the Preparation and Implementation of the National Strategy on Human Rights, Rights and Freedoms, and Consumer Protection" of Thailand's Senate and a participant for AEBF-24 Partnership Gathering for ASEAN Centre for Energy.
