Harshal Talele is an enthusiastic energy professional with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He has a Master of Science (MSc) in energy policy from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom (UK) and an Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), University of Mumbai, India. He also completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Corporate Law (PGDCL) and Post Graduate Diploma in Renewable Energy Management (PGDREM) from Symbiosis College, Pune, India.

Harshal Talele has been working at Bharat Petroleum Co. Ltd (BPCL) since June 2004 and is currently holding the role of maintenance of the electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunication systems and energy management of the 3500+ km petroleum pipelines. He has experience in a wide range of energy sectors, which include the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of energy conservation projects and renewable energy projects in the petroleum industry. He is a Certified Energy Manager from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, India.

Recently, he presented two technical papers at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2024, which was took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 4-7 November 2024 and also, he already presented technical paper on innovative approaches to mitigating carbon emissions in the energy sector, offering actionable insights into enhancing pipeline efficiency and driving sustainability at the 6th Japan Energy Summit which was took place on 3-5 June 2024 at Tokyo, Japan. He has prepared more than 20 research papers on national and international energy policy and energy conservation systems for the University of Sussex, United Kingdom (UK).

In addition to electrical and energy systems, he has very good knowledge of instrumentation and telecommunication systems. He presented various technical papers on electrical and instrumentation systems at the Centre for High Technology (CHT) activity committee meeting for the oil and gas industries in India.

Harshal is a technical committee member for the Bureau of Indian Standards, Government of India for updation of Electrical Indian Standards and cyber security officer for BPCL Pipelines.
